Oh Boy.

Alex Manoah and Trevor Bauer are going to be a lethal 1-2 punch in Japan.

  1. You thought Berrios / Kikuchi was bad last year. This is even beyond that level of pathetic.

  2. They cannot continue like this. His starts have been an automatic L lately. It’s time to send him down. This is rock bottom IMO

  3. Just send him down already. Getting back a good pitcher is not the reason Jays should not entertain it. The point is to allow him to go down, work on his mechanics there. He’s not able to do that with the big club.
He’s not winning, so whoever comes up it’s no big deal if they don’t win either. It’s a wash – but Manoah gets to work on figuring things out. Just do it already.

  4. It’s time to send him down. Manoah when pitching well is an elite guy. He’s unusable right now. Throwing him out there to be a disaster every 5th day doesn’t help him and it’s killing the team. These starts wreck the bullpen.

  5. It’s over. Send him down and hope he works on whatever it is that’s wrong.

  6. Said this in the game thread but saying it again here.

We are almost garaunteed to lose 1 in 5 rn because of Manoah. Its the single piece of the equation that we can rely on so far this season. So its time to take that garaunteed piece out of the equation if we really do have eyes on the playoffs.

The whole team has been great, slumped, and then came out of it in the time Manoah has had to turn this around. Its time for some greater moves here.

  7. I’m blaming the management. They’ve seen this man struggle for weeks and have done nothing. It’s inexcusable. They’ve destroyed his confidence and now they have to build it back up with interest

  8. Would literally rather a bullpen day at this point. At least something unpredictable might happen. Everytime Manoah goes out right it’s the same shit, I can’t watch him suffer anymore.

  9. I keep seeing “0.1” innings pitched. Isn’t it 0.33? Or is “0.1” always used for 1 out?

EDIT: according to Quora, yes. 0.1 for for one out, 0.2 for two.

  10. Big trouble for Manoah. Third in Cy Young voting last season to literally the worst starting pitcher in the league. 🤷‍♂️

  11. His ERA is over 6. I’m fairly confident that a AAA pitcher combined with Pearson or Richards will provide better outcomes right now.

He needs to get out of the spotlight and figure things out.

Not only have his starts been pretty much guaranteed losses, but he fucks over our bullpen whenever he pitches.

It’s June. We don’t have time anymore.
