[META] Would you like /r/motorcitykitties to go dark from June 12-14 to protest Reddit API changes?

[Reddit may force Apollo and third-party clients to shut down, asking for $20M per year API fee](https://9to5mac.com/2023/05/31/reddit-may-force-apollo-and-third-party-clients-to-shut-down/)

TL;DR: No more 3rd party apps to browse Reddit. Users will be forced to use official Reddit app which has less features, is slower, is overall a shittier experience.

Personally for me, will make moderating impossible on mobile.

Is this something the community wants to participate in?

  1. I don’t use 3rd party apps but I’ll stand in solidarity with those against the changes.

  2. Might as well, everyone else is so I probably wont be on Reddit those days anyway

  3. I mean we’ll be playing the Braves anyways so I think I can live without seeing all the doomer takes.

  4. Nah. It will only work if we boycott it completely rather than just one day.

  5. I’m taking the Towelie approach and say that I have no idea what’s going on.
