  1. Stakeholder in the stadium is of course going to say that. Doesn’t mean it’s real.

  2. FFS why couldn’t this thing have just died yesterday. Literally every comment I saw about this bill not moving forward was celebrating its demise, or at best neutral. Who even wants this?

  3. Say a name at this point gtfo with the vague references to someone getting this pushed into the session Jaclyn

  4. This is annoying but not unexpected to get reports like this. The Gov can make the session and the legislature can tell him to fuck off. I trust a bit more the on the record statements from the leadership that would have to agree to put the bill up for consideration than an unnamed source who’s a stakeholder in the stadium.

Hell it’s probably better for us if they have another session and vote the bill down directly than leave it up in the air.

  5. If the source isn’t from a prominent current democrat it doesn’t matter, they’re the ones who get to decide no one else

  6. For someone who has branded himself as fiscally conservative, he doesn’t seem to mind wasting money on these special sessions, let alone wasting money trying to poach a dumpster fire team.

  7. Ok so as it stands now….it all rests on if the democratic state legislature even want to talk about it right?

Meaning the governor can say all he wants but the state legislature can say no we won’t talk about it and it is done once and forever right?

  8. Just as some of us including myself predicted, the Athletics’ stadium bill will get a special session. Whether or not it passes in the Nevada Legislature and signed into law by Governor Joe Lombardo remains to be seen. If it passes, the Athletics relocation is a foregone conclusion. If not, the Las Vegas plans are completely scuttled and the team might look to another city for relocation.
