  1. >“None of those guys on Miami are sitting there saying, ‘Well, I didn’t play,’ or ‘Man, they put in so-and-so.’ They’re just all about winning,” Kerr said. “And you know this from our groups that we’ve had, when you have that championship mentality, every guy is bought in, every guy is just trying to win, nobody — nobody cares about any of that stuff. You don’t go in the locker room saying, ‘Well, I should have played more.’ You just wanna win. And that’s the beauty of finding that magic when you have a championship team, is that everybody is bought in, and it makes the decision for the coach really simple. You just go with your gut, and go with whoever’s playing well.”

Exactly! If coming off the bench helps us win, Dray and Steph will ride the pine with a shit-eating grin until called to the court and play their best basketball. Klay Thompson plays with hunger, desperation to win his fifth chip. He is furious after each loss because he takes shit seriously. Looney put it all on the line, playing through broken ribs against Toronto. These guys are WARRIORS.

We have NO SPACE for whiny brats that pout when things don’t go their way. The Warriors play best with no-ego. Selfish players prioritizing their own minutes and themselves over the team need to be shipped out.

  2. MT hit it on the head when he said the Warriors culture is kinda anti-young. You need people who have been there, done that, and not people who are still trying to figure it out because figuring it out takes time and unfortunately we don’t have any to give. To that extent I feel for the young guys cause all their peers are at least getting that opportunity.

  3. was waiting for someone else to post this. one other thing I want to add is that I disagree with Thompson (author) about youth. Moody will get a lot more run this year. We would play our youth more if our youth consistently showed up on the defensive end of the floor. They need that dawg in them.

Poole puts 0 effort in – if he is such a hard worker, maybe he can allocate 50% of the work on offense to improving his defense so we can actually play him on the floor in the clutch against solid playoff teams – and sucks the energy out of our defense. Kuminga is an above average on-ball defender with potential to be elite that looks like a lost lamb when it comes to help defense, but more importantly he’s not showing us any hustle. Moody is proving to be a diamond in the rough.

It was tough for him to break out with Steph + Klay getting heavy minutes as well as Poole (got the bag). Did his team put out Klutch messaging that he was unhappy with his minutes or his role? No. He recognized that in order to be on the court of a championship contender and contributute toward one of the greatest NBA dynasties, he has to EARN his minutes.

Others think they are entitled to minutes and lash out or play sullen, selfish basketball due to perceived wrongs from Kerr and lack that championship mentality just about every deep bench player on the Heat has in spades. Clearly they do not see how hard Klay had to work to get back to where he was. They don’t respect the GOAT and need pep-talks to play their best and support their teammates, and they do not lock in defensively, eroding a code aspect of our team’s identity.

They need to follow Moody’s example. People need to stop making every excuse under the sun for certain players while bitching about the guys that are getting statues.

  4. It’s why I hope they don’t trade Moody. He was in the doghouse season-long, zero complaints, and then he proved himself and got well-deserved minutes in the playoffs.

Complaining about how much playing time you’re getting in the playoffs is crazy cause how many teams are out there giving big minutes to very young players? It’s not like that’s exclusively only a Warriors thing.

Do I think Kerr should’ve at least tried Kuminga more during the Lakers series? Yeah but I’m not going to lord my opinion over Kerr who knows much more shit about things going on behind the scenes.

  5. Why is Kerr being petty af?!

He’s been taking shots since last season. Isn’t he supposed to be the grown up and coach?!

If you’re going to call people out. At least, be forthcoming about it.

This low key shade bs he has going on is super annoying !!

  6. Kerr has always been kind of spicy. I would have preferred the head coach to not add fuel to the fire but maybe he’s tired of the pouting or he thinks it will motivate them to be better.

The team has always had issues with integrating young guys as long term pieces. Since 2015, Poole and Looney are the only 2 guys that have really become rotation contributors. Its tough to identify quality rookies when they were constantly picking late but I can’t really think of a good excuse for Kerr and Myers if they can’t integrate 3 lotto picks
