Bruce Brown on Harden: “When James was there, obviously it was more fun, he held alot of events for us” “To get everybody in one place other than on the court, yeah.. that’s something we needed throughout the year but when he left, that kind of lacked..”

James was a great teamate on and off the court, definitely was one of the best teammates I’ve ever had, especially having some good times out.

It looks like when KD and Kyrie were there, there was no team chemistry at all, and Harden was the only one hosting events for all the players. It’s another reason why Harden left and both Bruce and Harden said the front office was great and wish well for the Nets organization.

  1. It was interesting to hear this from Bruce. Since everyone here bashes Harden and even thinks Bruce doesn’t like Harden. It’s just another peace to what was going on during the big 3 era and what was part of what was toxic going on behind the scenes.

  2. It was so frustrating to hear him say he believes the front office wanted him back in BK but “others” didn’t. All over Lana Rhodes smh. Ended up being the best for Bruce, I’ll be hyped for him if he gets a ring

  3. Love Bruce, but what he said during this interview (which was actually discussed a while back in a different post) doesn’t fully match with his remarks post-trade deadline last year.

BB: “The locker room is just a great vibe in there right now. I don’t know what it is. Everything just shifted after the trade deadline. Everybody likes everybody, it’s just great” ([source](https://www.netsdaily.com/2022/2/15/22934314/nets-may-have-hit-their-turning-point-everything-just-shifted-after-the-trade-deadline))

He also mentions a team bonding event after the first game post trade deadline, too. Maybe he’s remembering things differently now that time has passed?
