  1. Once Dame started listing his ideal trade locations to the media it became obvious that he’s gone.

  2. Pretty sure Dame can’t actually be traded until halfway into next season, and it would be pretty shocking for him to sit while healthy that long.

  3. Incoming Portland fans with their favorite line: “Stop asking him the same question, thats why he keeps talking about loyalty”

    lmfaoooo

  4. Dame said in an interview less than 24 hours ago that CJ and he had dinner the other night and laughed about how ESPN thinks CJ knows what’s going on in Portland. CJ just being a TV guy here.

Edit: I’m not saying with absolute certainty that Dame doesn’t get traded by the way, I’m saying CJ doesn’t know, but is saying what he knows will get more viewers.

  5. I know it sucks, OKC fans have been through something similar with Russ, but it’s time to rebuild.

  6. It should be especially if you are Portland. That Dame contract is freaking awful if they don’t trade this summer they are in a world of hurt.

  7. If the choice is between trading Scoot for a few more seasons of mediocrity the choice is obvious. Give Portland it’s new star and start over with a load of picks.

  8. Portland should just keep the 3rd pick and trade Dame instead. Dame ain’t getting any younger and their FO has failed to build a playoff/championship-contending team around their loyal star. It’s time to rebuild

  9. idk CJ. This is the same guy who said significant pieces would be traded from the Raptors at the deadline.

  10. CJ need to stop speaking on Dame and be a vet in the NO lockerroom those boys are clearly lost 😭

  11. They know his stance and the chances of them realistically putting a winning team around him any time soon are slim to none. They might as well keep the 3rd pick and get whatever they can get for Dame. Build around Sharpe, Simons and the 3rd pick.

  12. It’d be hilarious if Sharpe and the 3rd pick ended up being busts. I feel like the Blazers need to appreciate Dame while they have him and give him a chance to win.

  13. PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN CRONIN.

I love Dame but this is what’s best for both of us. He can have a shot at winning a ring and we can continue our extremely bright rebuild around Sharpe/Scoot, with loads of picks.

  14. Dame is overrated IMO. I know I’ll get downvoted, but it’s just my opinion.

  15. I know it’s shitty for Portland fans but maybe it’s time for a mutual break up.

Dame is getting too old to stick around for a multi year rebuild and would still have significant trade value for them to rebuild.

Let him go ring chase while Portland still can get value out of him. I’m pretty sure he can opt out after this coming season too 🤷🏻‍♂️

  16. But people down vote me when I said all the subtext points to Dame leaving. Dame can say he wants to be loyal but all around him, it looks likely he leaves which would be fine for both parties but no one wants to initiate it

  17. Good for him. Fucked up ownership situation, Dame definitely gave it his all for Portland but the team consistently failed, for many reasons, to put together a contending roster around him.

I hope he gets to go to a competitive situation and win or lose have a few deep playoff runs before his time in the league is over.
