I’ve never been in an NHL locker room, but I think Thommer and Coz taking deals that pave the way for this team being able to pay other players goes a long way. Realistically, I think Dahls and OP’s cap hits will add up to 18-20M and then bang, you’ve got your top 2 centers and 3/4 of a top four all under contract with room to play, and eventually Skinner’s contract will come off the books and we can (hopefully) pay our other forwards. I have a hunch that our second line of JJ – Coz – Quinn is going to break out this season, and also that we have some very decent chemistry with that core.
