  1. Good, we don’t want to be overspending when we’re already fine at the position.

  2. That all but settles it. If the Browns aren’t looking for a big name receiver then it won’t happen.

  3. I’m fine with it either way, im really hoping we aren’t sitting here 9 months from now debating on “what ifs” though. Seeing as him and Watson already have chemistry.

    It’s definitely better for the team long run, we need Watson to build that chemistry with some of our younger, more long term guys.

  4. He would be all our remaining cap for at best a 2 year deal.

    We’d also have to immediately trade DPJ.

    I don’t know if that’s the sort of long term planning the team wants to do.

  5. I’m slightly disappointed with this news. I feel like our window is likely in the next 2 years, so a top tier receiver like Hopkins would really help.
