  1. The Chris Bassitt Game (again, for the fifth time)

Bo Bichette is a superstar. Send him to the All-Star Game.

I don’t know if I have the stomach to watch Romano pitch in close games for the rest of the season, desperately hoping that he doesn’t throw that fucking slider.

But we won! Our rotation is only four deep, but it’s still very, very good! Go win a four-game series against the Houston Astros tomorrow. Light a candle for King Brrios 🕯️🕯️

  2. What a wild world we live in where we can say “Manoah had another awful start to begin the series but thankfully we have Berrios in game 4 to win the series vs the reigning WS champ”. Tell that to anyone last year and they call you a nutter

  3. Would’ve been awesome to see CBass go for the complete game, but a win’s a win!

    Go take the series tomorrow!

  4. I’m gonna be honest. I was initially critical of us signing Bassitt. This is why I am not a baseball GM.

  5. Bo Bichette underperforms yet again, going 1-for-4 with a home run and two strikeouts, as the Toronto Blue Jays win 3-2 against the Houston Astros.

  6. My theory: Chris Bassitt does not want to be inside a baseball stadium unless he is throwing dirty pitches. Any time he is in the building and not whipping nasty shit is a waste of his valuable time – time he could spend learning books or creating new life with his beautiful wife Jessica. Your man came to pitch, not sit in a dugout. But here’s the rub! The starting pitcher has to stay until the end of the game to do a post-game interview. There’s only one efficient solution, and so for Bassitt there’s really only one solution at all. Pitch the whole game, or as close to it as possible, to avoid the crippling boredom of not huckin cheese.

  7. If we can just convince Dusty to give Dubon the day off tomorrow we’ll be in great shape.

  8. Chris Bassitt. Alejandro Kirk. Kevin Kiermaier. Bo Bichette. Brandon Belt. Jordan Romano. Blue Jays Baseball

  9. The beautiful thing about Kevin Kiermaier is that you stop wondering “can this guy catch the ball?” and instead you wonder “is it physically possible for this ball to be caught?” because with KK out there, the very concept of doubt is a waste of time

  10. I 100% would have loved to see Bassitt stay in, but let’s be honest, it’s not John making the decision to pull Bassitt. It’s data showing 4th time through the order stats and the fact Dubon and Alvarez were the only two hitters doing damage to Bassitt.

Either way, that was a fun game and a great performance. Bassitt crushed it! See you tomorrow.

  11. We are back to 7 games over .500 after giving all that ground up in May

  12. If Alvarez wasn’t due up in the 9th, I’m sure Bassit finishes it. Alvarez owns Bassit, and would be the 4th time he’s seen him tonight. Taking him out sucks for baseball fans, but for a manager trying to win ball games, it was the right decision.

  13. Hazel: What did you learn about Chris Bassitt in this game?

Brandon Belt: He needs to have more babies.

  14. OMG he didn’t just say Bassitt needs to have more babies 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
