  1. Holy shit we needed that. It was a) a close win that we didn’t blow, and b) a game in which one half (pitching) dominated despite lackluster performance from the other half

  2. I don’t understand why they don’t let Hicks go another inning or two to give the bullpen some rest. They tried turning him into a starter, and now he’s limited to just an inning, which seems wrong.

  29. This is the type of win against the a of team like the Rangers that might actually spark another Cards winning streak. One of the best 1-0 games I can remember.

  39. I feel a little bit guilty, because, after we got that 1-0 lead, I found myself rooting for Gray to throw a complete game. It’s like seeing a unicorn.

  40. The perfect outcome Gray does great for my fantasy and we win the game. This was the game I was most worried about before the series started.
