And another one

How long till the Rays start holding open tryouts at the pitch speed game by the right field escalator? This is getting ridiculous

  1. Patino the reliever could be interesting. He seems to have settled into it in Durham these past two weeks. I wanna be optimistic about this dude but everytime I try he poops the bed. Hopefully he misses some bats in the show and helps the miserable pen situation out a little.

  2. I looked up Patino’s minor league numbers to see how he’s been doing.

He was god-awful at the start of they year, which I already knew. They moved him to the bullpen May 6th, so about a month ago. He had one terrible outing on the 12th, where he got torched for 7 runs. Besides that, he’s been solid. Not spectacular, but fine.

Over his last 7 outings: 3.86 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 2 BBs, but only 3 Ks

Please do well Patino! I really want this kid to be successful.

  3. Yeesh. Wasn’t Faucher starting to figure it out too?

Oh, well, let’s see if the Patino reliever experiment works out.

  4. Whatever Beeks is doing to stay healthy, the rest of the team needs to do that. He’s the one guy I keep wanting to see not here but healthy as a horse.

  5. Hold up is the pitch speed game still there? Thought they changed it for a batting off the tee game

  6. Really hoping for Patino. I can see him having success in the bullpen, he has the stuff just needs some control and a couple things to go his way to build some confidence.

  7. Is this happening around the league? At what point do you not want to be a pitcher for the Rays?
