  1. Wouldn’t be that weird if it was early in the season when he wasn’t getting any games, since there were plenty of teams that could have slotted him in. I’d imagine he’s much happier after getting some games.

  2. Was it because of playing time? I mean he’s sure to make the cut this next year. But he could want to prove himself somewhere for a bigger contract.

    He’s also one of our easiest tradable assets so this is interesting.

  5. This makes a lot of sense if you pay attention to the way the team talks about him.

    Rod made plenty of comments that he felt Drury will be a hurricane for a very long time and praised him when he didn’t make the cut for the team.

    He’s older than a lot of our team and should be playing at the NHL level full time. So it makes sense he wants to facilitate that.

    However with the canes developing him and how useful he is in our lineup I would imagine the team does not want to move him.
