What does a good offense even look like at this point?
It’s truly baffling that no one on this pitching staff can pitch with a lead. It’s just as bad as hitters being completely incapable of hitting with runners in scoring position.
Both of these things have made Cubs’ games very predictable of late. The offense puts together a good inning or two early on. The starter immediately gives up a couple of runs in response. This is usually made worse by the bullpen coming in and letting the deficit grow. All life in the offense completely disappears once they fall behind.
You gotta love 2023 Cub baseball.

Pitching and defense….we may have to sac our defense for some better bullpen pieces. And our offense is shot. At this point let’s put the blame on every single person in the organization including the fucking players
