  1. How do you expect stanton to heat up when he plays one game, then rests a game and repeat

  2. Big bats went missing again and this is rather common for 6 years at this point. It’s why I don’t care how well this team does in the regular season, you cannot trust them in the playoffs because they’re STILL streaky as hell. Them being “due” happens during one hot month and you never see it again all year.

  3. DJ Lemahieu went off with juiced balls for 200 games and the Yankees have a career utility guy 95 mil

As someone who hated that contract since day one I feel vindicated. As a Yankee fan I am annoyed. Should’ve taken the two years you had him at a bargain and moved on.

Hasn’t stepped up to the plate in October under this new contract

  4. A .300 hitter fails 7 out of 10 times… the thing about the last few years of these Yankees teams is that they all end up with Swiss cheese bats at the same time every so often.

    Or..

    “That’s baseball, Suzyn”

  5. Okay, the point is this is baseball. You fail more than you succeed. Torres homered in game two. There are going to be games where the big bats can’t hit.

  6. Felt this way about Starlin and Didi at the end, cannot wait for DJ to be gone. What a bust of an extension.

  7. One things for certain. Yankees fan will never agree on who should be traded when the clear answer is Torres and Stanton.

  8. Even when everybody’s healthy half of our starting lineup is going to be playing every other game. Sad old injured team.

  9. this is why you play SITUATIONAL baseball and not just “smash and blast”

Gleyber comes up with runners on 2nd and 3rd, trying to score 3 runs when they only needed 1 to tie. just because “the big hitters” are up doesn’t mean they should just always try to be smashing. this team’s constant refusal to change their approach by situation is infuriating

  10. For the double header:

DJ, Stanton, JD, Rizzo, Torres: BA 0.057 for $95 mil/yr

Oswaldo, Calhoun, Bauers, McKinney and the catchers: BA 0.400 for $6.75/yr

  11. Jesus Christ we need Judge and Bader to be healthy. We’re so absolutely fucked when they’re not in the lineup.
