  1. Jake Burger looks like a cop who lets his buddies drive 100 in a 50, but cuffs anyone with weed.

  2. So we all just gonna agree that game 1 didn’t happen right? I’m gonna blame it on the smog

Gee guys I’m glad they cancelled game 1! What a good night win!

  3. I mean, shit, that’s like a handful of bullets we coulda saved on Holmes, but we at least got the win.

  4. Obviously i’ll sound like captain hindsight, but this had all the makings of a weird trap series. You just come off a very successful west coast trip which ended in two big wins against the juggernaut dodgers and are slated to play a bad AL central team at home, so right there you have that mindset of “tough parts over, we can take our foot off the gas.”

But add to that situation, you have the very disconcerting specter of your best player and team captain dealing with a weird injury that no one seems to know how serious it is or long he will be gone bringing down morale (and severely weakening the lineup) and then the cherry on top of this shit sunday, you have a bizarre and surreal once-in-a-century natural disaster that blankets the entire region in a giant cloud of campfire smoke and forces a weird cancellation and DH makeup all under gloomy hazy skies as if emphasizing how out of whack everyone feels.

All this is me saying, We should have swept the white sox even without judge but im somehow not surprised at the under performance given the circumstances. Glad we got a win to salvage the series at least. Now lets wipe the taste of the last few days out of our mouths and hope they wake up for the red sox and mets.
