[Reiss] A player who caught the eye at Patriots OTA: Rookie Marte Mapu (third round, Sacramento State). Linebacker/safety hybrid played more safety and had INT of Bailey Zappe in 11-on-11 drill. He was around the ball more than once.

2. Aside from Gonzales he’s the pick im most excited for. Cannot wait to watch this defense this year. So much talent and athleticism at each level of the defense. Will be a great group.

4. I hope we drafted him to play (a versatile) linebacker. Rather pay the safeties we have than spend draft capital on bringing in new ones on day 2.

5. BB really about to field an almost position less defense. Run stopping DTs/edge rushers, a couple outside corners and the rest being hybrid LB/S. If the offense can stay on the field long enough for our D to actually rest we are going to be very hard to score on.

6. He was the only draft I didn’t like, really wanted Darnell Washignton.

7. Pats will have a top 5 and potentially the best defense in the league this year, feel like people are forgetting that when rating them compared to other teams
