1. Some interesting news courtesy of The Athletic this morning as Pierre LeBrun, Michael Russo and Eric Duhatschek did a comprehensive article about the NHL with plenty on the Jets.

   “And there should be no confusion about whether Hellebucyk has interest in signing an extension in Winnipeg. That ship has sailed. His next contract will be with a new team.

2. Alright, there goes the retool. Stick the Garage Sale sign out front of the arena and get this rebuild going.

3. We don’t deserve him. Shame on Chevy for ignoring the issues that lost us Laine. We need a complete culture reset.

   Give me a team of Lowrys. Of Tanevs. A team of Morrisseys.

4. God the oilers would be scary with him in net. It’s gonna be heartbreaking to see the jets play against him on any team but jfc the oilers would win it all with him.

5. Feels like that’s the nail in the coffin in terms of being able to retool.

   Really disappointing “window” of 1.5 years this core had. They had almost all of the pieces to do it but could never put it together before Wheeler fell off a cliff and the defense debacle happened.

6. Thanks Chevy. Waste the best goalie we’ll ever have and one of the best goalies of our time.
