Thought it was somewhat harsh that the fans booed Donaldson over a hard hit ground ball that wound up being a double play. Can’t say that I’m shocked though. I think 99% of the sub predicted he’d be next now that Hicks is gone.

Germán’s last 7 starts: 41.0 IP, 10 ER, 31 K, 3 HR allowed, 2.20 ERA, 12 BB. Another stellar start from Germán tonight. Easily has been our best starter since May. Shoutout to Gleyber and Calhoun (who’s also on a heater) with a pair of solo shots. Bullpen with another shutout performance. Look to take the series tomorrow.

My brain is pre programmed to be nervous when Holmes comes in, but my god he was filthy tonight. And he’s been excellent for a good month now at least. Our bullpen was spectacular tonight as it usually is. Shoutout Kahnle for getting a high leverage spot in the 8th and Wandy battling in the 7th.
German didn’t have his best command but Boston isn’t very good and our defense made plays. Regardless, I’m so happy with German this year he’s been so important and so damn solid. Fuck Boston.
