  4. My worry is pitchers getting a book on him and learning how to get him out. I remember how good Mike Jacobs was until he wasn’t.

  5. I love this kid!!! The confidence and swagger this kid has is unreal and is honestly one of the only bright spots and reasons to keep watching this year!!! Absolutely cannot wait for more to come through the years.

  9. MY favorite part of his home runs is some of them look like it’s his sheer strength that’s sending them over the fence. Like if anyone else (except Pete) swung at the pitch the same way, connected at the same point, with the same angle, theirs will get caught on the warning track.

  18. I judge a catcher in 3 categories. They should be good in at least two. Hitting. Defense. Calling a good game. He does all three. And he’s only going to get better.

  21. And had he been on the opening day roster and if he finishes top 3 ROY, we would have had a first round draft pick awarded to us. Thank god Eppler held onto Nido instead, he crushed it in April.
