Miami gave them hell but fell short. It’s been an incredible season. Be proud of this Miami Heat.

  1. Gentlemen, it’s been an honor watching this season with you. We all wanted Jimmy and Spo to win a ring but it wasn’t meant to be this season…Not the season I envisioned to be completely honest but very heartbreaking way to end it. One of the most up and down, left and right season I have witnessed with the Miami Heat having watched since 2003. If you told me we would make it to the Finals a year ago, I would have agreed. If you told me we would have made it to the Finals as an 8th seed a year ago, I would have called you crazy. Not the ending any of us wanted but I am so proud of this Heat team. At times, they made me question my own sanity. At times, they made me the happiest fan in the world. Even though the Finals were super disappointing, I am proud of all the guys that repped the Heat this season. It’s going to be a long offseason, and a lot of questions going forward and hopefully they get answered sooner rather than later but for now, just enjoy the rest of the summer with your family or friends or even by yourself and take some time off Reddit…No matter what, Let’s GO HEAT. See y’all next season.

  2. Well. That certainly was a Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Disgusting and sloppy. There was a 3-min stretch in that 3rd quarter where it felt like the ’11 Hornets and ’17 Pistons were playing each other.

    * Jimmy. 2/13 to start the game. 13 straight 4th Q points. Game losing turnover.
    * Bam. 18pts in the 1st half. Vanished offensively in the 2nd half.
    * They shot like total ass from 3-point range and the FT line and still won.
    * Shoutout to some of the role players doing their best. Strus, Caleb, Lowry.

We got a hilarious nonsense 3pt foul call on Jimmy late. They’re a good deal better than us and it’s honestly hilarious we still could have won if they(Denver) didn’t play inexplicably awfully to finish the series.

Hell of a season. Never could have expected this run as an 8th seed pre-playoffs. I’ll appreciate it more with perspective. Denver are the rightful Champions. We’ll see how the offseason goes.

  3. Live by the Jimmy. Die by the Jimmy. Great season. Another heartbreaking end.

  4. I’m proud of my team no matter what happened in the finals. See y’all next year

  5. It was a good run. An improbable run.

If you told me in January that we’d still be watching the Heat in mid-June, I would’ve laughed in your face.

Love y’all, love this team. Heat Nation forever

  6. Don’t let this blind you. What we did this year was amazing. Through all the good and all the bad. We’ll be back

  7. Can’t fault Jimmy for getting hurt and having nothing left in the tank. Best team won the series.

  8. That was a terrible pass but no one came to the ball to help Jimmy out of trouble.

Jimmy not committing to the drive, making a terrible pass and all of the players that didn’t show up for the series standing around looking stupid really exemplifies the entire series. And the idea of these guys being undrafted went to a good story to a nail in the coffin.

Highly regarded and success players have a natural killer instinct and consistency that these undrafted guys lack, which is why they went undrafted. Good run but frustrating finish.

  9. They’re simply the better team. That’s it. Props to them they totally deserve it.

It was a hell of a run, here’s hoping we can do some restructuring and make another strong run.

  10. I know are people are disrespecting Jimmy right now but we wouldn’t even be here in this position without him. I will forever be grateful to the Jimmy Butler era for making basketball for us Heat fans fun again. We need to get another consistent scorer and more size if we want to compete again next season.

  11. Jimmy not wanting to be our superstar is why we lost. I would rather him shoot at every time he drives baseline instead of passing it to vincent to miss a layup for the 1000th time
