You’d have to keep Deandre Hunter for this to work.
Team has a defensive issue. And while Jaylen is an upgrade at the 2 losing Deandre will leave you in a worse off position.
I know a good portion of the fan base considers Deandre a bad defensive and offensive player, but no on is asked to do what he does.
There’s a reason the Hawks said he was on the no trade list. And I hope Quin can make the adjustments for everyone to see his value.
Also Javale isn’t in the same tier as Clint. The Mavs would need to send us a pick directly for what we are giving up if not more.
Why even include the mavs in this deal. We keep CC, give 15 to the Celtics and no Javale. We would be about as good as we were last year while still having an asset to move in CC so we can clear cap and get depth.
JaVale McGee? I’m not sure if I trade Aaron Holiday for him straight across
This is giving up way too much in depth. Potentially four rotation players for one player (McGee would be salary filler on a bad contract.). One injury and team will struggle.
