  1. He’s a free agent this summer, so a sign&trade will cost us much less assets than outright trading for Dame or other stars who may or may not come. And based on this Shams report, it seems like the Heat FO did have an interest in Kyrie at one point as well. He’s a headache but he also is an instant offense which we could’ve used in this Finals. I do think we could use some offensive talent after all these years of defense-oriented team.

    Thoughts?

  2. Dame is better but Kyrie would be great fit for this team also.

Im down for any offensive juggernaut available.

  3. Everyone will hate it, but I wouldn’t mind a Kyrie S&T. He’ll be significantly cheaper than trading for Dame. He’s good friends with JB and would give us a primary scorer on offense. I don’t see how it was ever gonna work with Luka and Kyrie both needing the ball in their hands. Miami allows him to play freely as the first option with good support players next to him.

  4. r/heat: *Writing whole paragraphs about why Kyrie doesn’t fit the culture and why Pat Riley would hate him*

    Pat Riley:

  5. Everyone saying S&T for Kyrie will need to explain how we can do that, field a competitive roster and stay below the hard cap b/c I don’t see it

  6. Andy Elisburg has his hands full this summer. I trust him to figure out the new CBA and how to make the team better.

  7. at least the press conferences will be fun ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|disapproval)

  8. We need a guy that can consistently score 25 plus a game, is a 3 level scorer, and can increase the team’s pace. No Heat players were top 20 in scoring this season. We were also one of the slowest teams in the league this year. Butler and Bam’s games tend to slow our pace down, so we need a faster guard that can score, and that way Butler and Bam can concentrate on defense, and supplementing the scoring load.

Does that mean Kyrie is a good option? I don’t think so. Kyrie isn’t a Culture guy. He’s too self-centered, weird, and a locker room nightmare. He’s also a traffic cone on defense.

I’d much rather have Dame, who’s a team guy, and doesn’t focus on himself, or other extraneous things. Will Dame ask for a trade? I doubt it honestly. He talks every summer and nothing ever happens, so that leaves Miami with the question of who to target in the offseason? We have to see what players watched the Heat compete for a chip and decide they want some of that Culture.

  9. Well this is slightly uplifting considering they were trying to add talent without us even being aware of it. Hopefully they’re more aggressive this offseason and find some size to help out Bam. A scorer like Kyrie or Dame will make an enormous difference.

  10. Where those dude’s on this sub that were relentlessly slandering Pat and Mickey for not making moves?

  11. Lmaoooo I remember I was called a fake fan on here because I said give me 1.5 years of kyrie > undrafted role players. Good to see the FO at least tried to get him at the deadline.

  12. At least this tells me Riley isn’t going to just sit on his ass this off season and do nothing. Hopefully we sign someone good.

  13. I mean what is the point for saying this now when kyrie was trying to recruit LeBron to play in Dallas with him days ago lol.Marc Cuban was not trading for kyrie without a handshake deal in place .It’s too important to keeping Luka for him not to .

  14. Kyrie is a fucking headcase and barely plays. He was great like 6 years ago, but now he isn’t worth the trouble.

  15. I think I still prefer Dame because I know he will consistently be on the court and basketball is still his first priority. However, Kyrie is a year younger and his ability to finish around the rim and his handles gives him a little bit of an edge offensively over Dame imo. I would be happy tho if the Heat could land either, both are elite at shot creation which we desperately need.

  16. To me everyone except Jimmy and Bam are on the table for a sign a trade. Im thinking Herro, Jovic, and first or two could get it done tbh.

  17. The same people wanting Kyrie here so he can play 37 games and tell us some random conspiracy bull shit, and be completely unreliable, will be the same people telling us how Pat has “lost it” for acquiring Kyrie in the first place and giving him the bag.

  18. No thank you. Literally the opposite of heat culture. Total distraction. I would rather take six undrafted guys.

  19. Kyrie’s a perfect fit. y’all are not gonna be complaining when we’re back in the nba finals and not being held under 90 points

  20. I thought this was common knowledge Heat made an offer. It was a lowball, take Kyle Lowry and junk offer but still.

I also figured Miami has a huge Jewish population, so they weren’t gonna she’d team favs like Herro for an anti semite
