This fact is as much a referendum on cashman as anything else.
We were fundamentally unprepared for this season.
You can squint so damn hard, The roster construction still makes zero sense. Even with better health (which you can’t reasonably assume given the histories and age of this roster).

The sad thing is……this was entirely predictable all off season. Either the front office is blind or just doesn’t care. Wouldn’t be surprised with either

Hal Steinbrenner is the guy we should all be venting at, he’s the enabler, he writes the checks, he allows Cash to stay. George would sure be disappointed in him, having a shit for brains gm and a milque toast manager.

They literally made no offensive upgrades in the offseason….the one signing was judge….THATS NOT AN UPGRADE HE WAS ALREADY ON THE TEAM LAST YEAR ….so it’s literally the same exact team just a year older lol
