  1. 4th place by next weekend as well and hopefully that will trigger trades most likely selling vets.

  2. Not gonna overreact. Still have the best offense in the NL and our best pitchers are still on the mend. This is our low point in the season, nowhere to go but up.

Also, I just don’t buy this Giants team. They’re playing way above their heads right now. I predict they’ll come back to earth and be the .500 team they were destined to be. Same with the D-backs.

  3. Pretty much the season the front office set up when they pinched pennies in the offseason. Not surprised at all.

  4. Once the Dodgers players start making babies at the all star break, it’ll jump start them for the rest of thecseason.

  5. just over 70 games into the season. no longer can one say, “its early”. Management made choices on players and some longtime standards are no longer with the team. Choices were made on bargain basement players acquired, flyers were taken on guys bouncing back, bets were made on the ‘pass line’ that some young players would step up in a big and consistent way. to me the tough call is, what do do now? Do you sell off alot of promising talent and hope to get lucky and make the playoffs? Or do you accept its a down year, see if a contender wants to take some of vets on short contracts off your hand? I’m looking in favor of option B there..

  6. Why didn’t we just let Sheehan pitch the remaining 21 innings of the weekend?

  7. I believe we all saw this happening even before the 1st pitch of the season. Spending on already injured pitchers , letting go of guys that wanted to stay ( JT ) , picking up washed up players ( Syndergaard ). Recipe for disaster , we shouldn’t be surprised. Bright side is we get to see some of the kids that have been waiting to play. The rest of this season has been a shit show.
