~~One aspect not touched on enough is that his contract that we see on the books will INCREASE by 15% each year due to the trade kicker in his contract~~. His regular contract without the trade kicker would have pushed us over the second tax apron if Dipo was included instead of Duncan
Couple that with the new CBA rule where if we are in the second apron 2 out of 4 years after being in the second apron (starting in the 24-25 season) out draft pick 7 years out automatically goes to the end of the draft and all the restrictions on signing players being in the second apron
It’s not just about paying the luxury tax you basically have no decent draft picks and cannot add buyout contracts. You are basically married to this build for 4 years and can’t even add a Kevin love mid season.
Getting a little ridiculous the amount of people trying to paint the ownership as a bunch of cheap fucks. They are one of the highest spending groups in the league and they always try to put a winning product on the floor. Even Steve Ballmer has limits
It’s as simple as this guys, would Bradley Beal have been a upgrade for Miami? Yes.
Was Miami in a better spot to win with Beal with chance of injuries of the team? No.
If any of Jimmy, Beal, Bam got hurt going into next season it’s literally doomed, not just doomed, completely strapped for cash on getting a nice pickup at the deadline like we do time and time again.
I wanted Beal, but reality is, Beal added to this team was one injury away from another wasted Jimmy year. We continue to be more flexible because Beal isn’t here.
we’re officially in the Heavy.com bullshit reporting season
It sucks now, but by the end of this coming season I believe we will be celebrating dodging a bullet
This just goes to show how brain damaged the people that run these twitter accounts are
That sucks Arisons are loaded
Agreed he’s overrated
Same people that complain about fielding an all undrafted team want to trade our only draft picks in recent years lol make it make sense. Have patience and trust this FO
This is why the Heat need to be smarter when spending . You need to be smarter when spending in the first place so you don’t tie up your own hands when you need to make moves the most .
The only trades this team should be gunning for are bigs to pair with Bam. Like Lopez, Porzingis, Zubac, Claxton, etc. Since Spo doesn’t see it with Yurtseven. If he did, he’d be more involved in some way.
