The Timeline

Hope everyone’s been keeping well, just letting everyone know now, we’re going to win everything. Just wanted to provide my opinion on the draft and future, many thanks.

Draft Pick;

Going into previous draft nights I’ve wanted poku, tre mann, jalen williams, Trey Murphy 3 and herb Jones and going into this draft I think has the best gem, GG JACKSON.

He’s in a similar situation to Jalen Williams where he was the focus of his team and didn’t have the proper help to elevate himself and I feel like he’s learnt.

IMO he would make a perfect scoring wing for us, something we need, I also feel his role has a 3&D wing would be perfect, he can move laterally very quickly to keep Infront of his defender like Dort he just needs to focus more.

The only real concern is his motor, but is it his motor or is it he is just unmotivated to play for his team as the season went on. You have to remember he is very young and took on a lot of responsibility to make this team win, something he shouldn’t of have done instead look to further develop his role.

He seems cool and I feel suits our culture from a personality perspective to. He plays drums and if drafted this opens up to the possibility of starting a band.

Trades;

No, unless it’s for the 3rd pick, maybe we help dame go heat or something crazy but I would not give up any of our core at all, every good team needs good role players, and we have exceptional ones and a future HOF in SGA. We shouldn’t rush and this year should let everyone prove themselves I guess.

Free Agency;

Nikola Vucevic! We need to contact this man and get him on this team ASAP, show him our project and I think he will buy in. He’s the right age to where he can fade (in a nice way) and our current bigs will age and fill in while he is still a serviceable vet. He seems to have no issues and I feel like he can still step up his game another level in the right system. I had said we should’ve thrown a contact after Lauri Markkanen and Fultz for 15m and was mocked in FA and I should’ve not deleted that post but yeh, Vucevic can play C and allow Chet to play PF which I think is the main benefit of signing him and would bring the best out of them both.

Thanks for reading, I just made this post to kill time and as I’m from the UK and don’t really know anyone who supports thunder and follows nba so just nice to discuss, I really hope OKC Thunder board will improve the online content it puts out because it seems we’re slacking so far behind despite having some of the best personalities in the league. But thunder fans are the best.

  1. I don’t agree so much with the Vucevic choice, but overall I like your approach. Salute!!

  2. GG would be a good pick later in the first round just not at 12. Contrary to popular belief we will still have plenty of very talented players to choose from such as bilal coulibaly, kobe bufkin, rayan rupert, and Cason Wallace. All hard workers and good 2 way players that would contribute immediately. And there’s always a chance other teams reach and leave us with someone originally mocked in the top 10.

    As for Vucevic, I’m not sure there’s much he brings to the table that we can’t get out of Jaylin Williams for much cheaper. Vets are always great but we have an extremely mature young team because of the environment presti and daigneault have created in OKC. Then we also have to acknowledge the potential for Ousmane Dieng to step up and fill the 4 spot leaving chet to be at the 5 spot where he will play best defending the basket and creating mismatches on the offensive end
