Hi all,
Like many of you, I was very sad to hear that Marcus Smart will no longer be a Celtic. To show Marcus my gratitude for his years with our franchise, I am personally donating $300 to his YoungGameChanger Foundation. Marcus has always been there for kids in need and I can’t think of a better way to show the Celtics fan community’s appreciation for his efforts than to support his foundation. Let’s help kids and show Marcus how much he means to our fanbase.

ah damn i just posted the same thing. oh well more visibility i guess
nice gesture, marcus was a beast in the community
Donated what I could
Donated. Always will be my favorite player
This is why I don’t really get why people get mad at players prioritizing themselves over their team.
Smart gave this team his all and gets blind sided by a trade(not really Brad’s fault but it’s just how dominos fell).
I do think this trade is a positive for us but Smart lived Boston and it’s veryy sad.
In for 2 shirts.
We owe him
Donated! Gonna miss Marcus so damn much 😢
Donated $36 in honor of our DPOY. Forever a Celtic ☘️
my guy!!! $50 for the kids
In 2014, I saw rookie NBA lottery pick Marcus in the Market Basket in Waltham just after it opened. Waltham was where the Celtics practiced and sometimes Celtics players would be in stores (Yubusele in a CVS, James Young in Star Market). Marcus was wearing his Celtics practice gear and pushing the cart in the produce section with a woman who appeared to be going through a shopping/nutrition list with him.
Something about that – a pro athlete pushing his own cart in the practice warm-ups – just struck me as very down-to-Earth. I always thought he wanted to help the team win; never seemed to pad stats. So, I’m sorry to see him go and hope he has success in Memphis getting that team on the right track and wish him well on his marriage whenever that is.
$36 sent to the YGC.
