PGT: Tampa Bay Rays (52-26) experience a pitching melt-down and lose to the Kansas City Royals (21-54). [F: 5-6]

Bench Wander for attitude problems, Shane leaves with injury, Adam makes a gigantic mess after the Rays come back to grab the lead. Dumbest loss of the year by a mile. Fuck I hate baseball sometimes
Bullpen blows it again, just to remind us we still need reinforcements. Need quality, lockdown guys who throw strikes and won’t walk people all the time.
I am tired of watching Adam load the bases every appearance. Beyond ready for him to go away

This one feels really dumb
No longer confident this team will win the Al east. Too many meltdowns to be consistently good.
Jason Adam deserves the loss for that travesty, not Pete. Fuck that guy.
Team just looked off. Base running miscues, not holding Royals base runners on, looking lost at the plate, Fairbacks and Adam throwing meatballs…just a weird night for the Rays.
We shouldn’t lose games like this. Now we have to win three in a row just to win this series. It’s not a huge deal and there are obviously bigger issues in the world but this loss is just inexcusable imo.
Legitimately might be the worst loss I can remember in years, no exaggeration. “Best” team in baseball against an awful Royals team with your ace on the mound, and you somehow lose to these shitheads. Anything less than a sweep against this team is unacceptable. Kansas City is horrendously bad.

Tie game top of the 9th, following Adam shenanigans, HBP, steal steal, strikeout, strikeout, shitty little tapper first base side kinda fielded poorly kinda unlucky wins the game. Feels bad man.

Quick question. Why did we just let Melendez steal 3rd in the 9th?
So fucking sick of Adam letting them load the bases pretty much every time he pitches. Pete with a leadoff walk is also shit. And making no effort to hold the runner as well. So fuckin stupid. Worst, dumbest loss by far. Even worse than White Sox game 7
Gonna go and try not to think about stupid baseball the rest of the night. This one sucked.

Bullpen still isn’t good enough. Adam finds a way out of the jams he creates most of the time but it’s going to come back to bite us when it matters most.

There was some weird energy after the Wander news, so I kinda felt that something like this might happen. Oh well, on to the next one

I’m so sick of our bullpen. I need the Rays to trade for a couple top notch relievers, no matter the cost. Just do it. The offense will take care of itself this season. A couple shut down relievers, and we’ll be unstoppable.

This is baseball. I remember playing another crap team a few series back how I thought it would be a easy win. Someone reminded me (on this sub) you can never count any team out. This one sucked, yes. We’re gonna lose more games. We’ve done so fucken great this year that it hurts to lose any game. I get it. Let’s take the next 3. Have a good day tomorrow and a great weekend. When you let basically every baserunner steal everything in front of them, you’re going to lose. GG KC,they were very impressive on the basepaths, last place or not. How many steals did they have tonight?
