  1. Quite a substantial take on the Diggs off season events from James Jones (former WR, GB) on Colin Cowherd’s show. Essentially he’s saying that Diggs is most targeted receiver in NFL and still not happy – which is selfish. Ball needs to be spread to others like Gabe, needs to be based on play-call/coverage & QB being pressured to throw you the ball will lead to bad plays ( ex – Dak with Dez ).

Maybe JJ is on to something πŸ€”
Diggs asking for more targets may be the reason for flare up with McD, Beane, Josh and Dorsey. After which he was ‘given permission’ to go home instead of practise and cool down till he realises that he : can’t be traded (deadcap + diva tag after MIN & BUF) or sit out (repay $30m back to Pegula); BBB got you by πŸ’°. Accepts the new role and reality for him at Bills.

Especially given that with Kincaid now the offense would like to spread ( maybe even run the ball with RBs & not use QBπŸ™ ) and not be predictably looking for #14. Possibly, Diggs differs and feels he is HIM – playbook should feature him and OC/QB should target him more not less. Started to see some of it happen in 2nd half of last season. And hence the implosion at end of Bengals playoff game – “I told you Josh, you can’t πŸ† if you don’t target me”.

  2. The issue is clearly not the quantity of targets. It was that plays weren’t designed for him in crucial moments. I mean, look at Jefferson not being called upon and Kirk throwing for peanuts to end their season. Similar situation except Diggs is locked in and protected by a hefty contract. He can be more vocal and he should be imo. I was at the game against Cincy, the crowd was dead. A play to Diggs woulda been. Electric.
