  1. Haula gelling with this team almost immediately is refreshing as hell. Created a brotherhood and homie found his you love to see it

  2. Nothing makes me happier than haula staying. Hopefully the cap hit is reasonable. He’s a great guy and was actually very good on this team last year. I think 3 years is the sweet spot, now we wait for AAV

  3. Ugggh. Hope I am wrong about this one, just like I hoped I was wrong about Palat last year. But idk if giving any kind of term to a guy like Haula is really what we need to be doing at this stage. Hoping for low AAV, we will see.

  4. Heck yea outside of the Bratt and Meier deals this was the one I wanted to see the most. The guy clearly is a great fit in the locker room, brings a great veteran presence on the ice, and was super vocal about how much he wants to keep being a Devil.

This will end up being his longest stay with a team since he was with the Wild from 2013-2017. Definitely could tell from the exit interview that he really wants to be able settle down and stop having to bounce around the league.

  5. Hell yeah! Love Haula and how he has completely bought into the team after just one season. Vocal, well-spoken vet and a fantastic leader. Oh and he’s a pretty darn good hockey player too

  6. Haula’s the veteran presence we need. He seems to have really gelled with Jack too.

  7. hope its a sign and trade to get our first round pick back. haula doesnt offer anything for us that wood doesn’t already provide.

  8. That’s fine. I ragged on him but I wouldn’t say he didn’t deserve it. Am glad he turned it around.

At best, he can be top 6 on the Hughes line. At worst, he can be the center on the third line.

  9. The ultimate redemption story with this fanbase. Holy crap the vitriol he was getting when he first came in. Now everyone is celebrating his return. Let’s go!

  10. Good penalty killer, good face-off guy, good teammate. Now just need to work on his snipes in the offseason lol.

  11. Looks like 3 x ~~3.133~~ 3.15. Would’ve went a fourth year for him, but this is very good AAV for him. Happy to have him around! Fitz does it again

  12. This extension is pretty much perfect. Very good signing, I’m happy Fitz got this done

  13. I think this is a fair deal for both sides. Sure he had trouble finishing in the regular season but he turned it up in the playoffs against the Rags when it mattered. I thought he was one of the best players in the 1st round series.

I can’t wait to hear the news of the Timo deal.

  14. I was expecting a 3-year deal with some form of no-trade/movement clause. The AAV is a little higher than I expected (I was thinking $2.7-3).

Devils still have a little over $23 mil according to cap friendly. I think Meier is going to be between $8.7 to $9.2

  15. Haula revenge tour!

Let’s beat Carolina in the ECF on the way to raising the Cup!
