  1. Snell has now pitched 5 games to each of the 3 catchers. The breakdown is pretty staggering.

  2. I was wondering if Sanchez was somehow the reason for the early arrival of 2nd half Snell.

  3. I feel like the sample size is so tiny that we shouldn’t really draw conclusions. He had 22 IP with Nola, that’s… not much.

  4. I think part of Blake’s problem with Nola is that he’s already feeling rushed with the new pitch clock, and now he has to get home faster if there is a runner on. So he’ll try to get a heater to home asap or release his curveball or change up a little quicker, leaving it hanging, or he’ll whip his arm faster, making him rush and spike it.

With Gary, he’s got a canon, so he can focus a bit more on pin pointing his pitch, and knowing Gary will still be able to get the ball to second in time. That’s just my theory. Yu is more calm at mind, and knows people are going to run on him every time, so it doesn’t phase him as much as blake.

But, I’m also a coach manager who yells at my TV alot, so what do I know

  5. Unfortunately this lines up well with the existence of early season Snell, so who knows if there is a connection

  6. I’m sure Snell would be the first person to laugh at the notion that his early season struggles were because of Nola and current success has anything to do with Sanchez.
He is brutally painful at the start of every season, talk about hand selecting stats to try and prove a point.
