Apparently, Kailer Yamamoto is on the trading block. Anyone else think he might be a good fit here? He had a REALLY down year last year, but scored 20 goals the year before. I’m also kind of sick of these reclamation (might be a harsh word to use with Yamamoto), but he’s young, final year of his contract, and he is a goal scorer. What would you guys give up for him?

  1. How many more undersized wingers with mediocre production do we need? Hard pass.

  2. He’d be a cap dump for Edmonton with the situation they’re in. So the question is what would they give up for us to take him and his contract?

  5. How does he count as a goal scorer? One 20 goal season and one short 11 goal season. Everything else is garbage, he seems really similar stat wise to berggren.

  6. I’d rather target warren Foegele to help their cap situation out. Even then I wouldn’t give up much. Would be a nice Suter replacement

  7. Ha I just skated with him last night. I could ask him next week if he knows anything (probably doesn’t) or if he wants to become a wing. His dad is a wings fan.

  8. Wings/Oilers fan here. Oilers reporters have said there have been initial talks of someone taking Yamo for nothing. So what would I as Wings GM give up? Ziltch. Would I take the Honey Badger? Absolutely. Yams is tenacious on the forecheck.

  9. I live in Edmonton so I have seen him play and followed the playoffs here pretty closely and he is a hard no for me.

    He was invisible all playoffs and honestly for most of the regular season. Some say it was a down year but the amount of times I saw this guy wide open with a shot at net and have him either miss the net by 20ft or try some garbage pass was so frustrating. Send him to Seattle.
