  1. The fact there’s no one sniffing around or asking about him should tell you pretty much everything. He’s not that guy anymore.

This is just the same as Philly fans convincing themselves Wentz was reclaimable and would get back to himself. That we’d be fucked if he was gone and we moved back to Hurts.

I made my account in 2017 and was sold on Wentz, but went off the wagon when he got hurt again the next year and Foles took us to the playoffs. It’s all the same fucking shit.

Sometimes, the bird in the hand is toast and you gotta move on.

  2. If he was so economical why are we the only team in the league that wants him lol

  3. Anything more than a 1+1 would be terrible.

He’s about to be 34 and his age has already caught up to him. He has like no first step anymore.

  4. The problem is he’s shown zero willingness to adjust his game to meet his diminished physical traits. Add to that he’s about to play for a coach that demands his players buying in to playing defense. While economically it might make sense, does it make sense from a basketball pov?

  5. Anchoring an in his prime Embiid’s future to a declining HOF point guard long term is not how you build a team that’s so close to winning it all right now, even though he’s a HOF lock his contract will handcuff this core on the way to its end in Philly, and unlike Tobias he’s not going to gain any interest of you tried to move that contract even further down the road then he is now in his career.

I get the ‘best option now’ argument but that’s only looking at next season, and Harden isn’t looking for short term. I say let him go and play with what you have, with a coach who doesn’t just say ‘play harder’ when his pregame strategy isnt working in game.

Plus Maxey deserves more time than Harden even if he was to stay, even and the Sixers need to improve their backup roles and get a real defender to be what PJ was supposed to be.

  6. If Harden just comes to terms with the fact that most of his athleticism is gone and adjusts his game accordingly, he can still be a top player in the league and EASILY a top 3 PG. He does so much good, then blows it all up by trying to do something he hasn’t been able to do effectively in years.
