Whitehead: “I had an injury. I think I can definitely get back to the guy who I was. People from last year tend to think I’m not athletic, and that was due to me pretty much playing on one leg…once I get back 100% I can go back to showing how well I can be a great playmaker.”

A guy I work with was a player at Duke, and played for like 10 years in the league, said that he really liked Whitehead in highschool, but after he came back from injury he was too “doughy.” He said that the injury shouldn’t have kept him from staying lean, and there might be a work ethic question.

   Will be interesting to see how he comes back, see if we really got a steal.
