I like Powell more than a lot of Mavs fans. I do not understand why Houston would be after him, given their roster.

  2. Dwight can sign with the rockets and yet somehow will manage to be our starting center by the all star break

  4. As much as I don’t want him back on the team, it’s going to be weird to see him in another jersey

  6. Powell is frustrating to watch but he has gave me the most laughs as a Maverick fan. His hustle is also unmatched and I hope that can rub off on the rookies when we sign on him on the vet min. I want this man to retire a Maverick. CUBAN DONT LET THIS HAPPEN.

  7. One thing about his fit with Houston. They don’t currently have anybody that seems like they can competently run a pick n roll. Maybe Amen Thompson can get there. But right now, I just don’t understand why they’d be after him at all.

  9. The Rockets could use veteran leadership like Dwight’s. There’s a lot of bad things I’ve heard about the attitudes on that team

  10. Calling it right now, Dwight will end up scoring 35 points on 6 attempts against us somehow when the Rockets play us.

  14. The reason the Rockets will want him, is he can be a mentor and set a standard of professionalism, which they currently have a real lack of.

  17. Will be sad to see him go because he’s so awesome to the fans. He was always nice to us before the games signing autographs and taking photos. It’s time to move on for the mavs and Powell though. This makes sense.

  23. Powell needs to be brought back on a vet minimum as a backup 5. Then we won’t need Theo as the bench cheerleader.
