This diagram should also clear up a common misconception in discussion in the other notable trade made in the mid-2010s the Pierce-Garnett-Terry trade between the Nets and Celtics being that Jatyson Tatum was selected with the Nets 2017 first-round pick when actually Markelle Fultz was taken with the Nets pick by Philadelphia, also had our first-round pick in 2019 gone #1 overall in the lottery it would’ve gone to Philadelphia instead and the 76ers would have Zion.
