Buck Showalter’s Managerial Approach Once Again Shows Its Flaws

  1. Putting in Brigham was not the issue. Brigham got the double play ball and Baty needed it up. Robertson wasnt going two innings back to back days so then you end up with Brigham in the 9th. If Baty didnt mess up it would have been two outs and a guy on third.

    Bucks mistake was not having someone already throwing in the bullpen when Brigham threw that first pitch. He waited until it was clear Brigham was shook up by the error and didnt have it to get some throwing. Never should have gotten to the first HBP, let alone the second.
