Draymond Green is the answer

How we do that ?

  1. I guess we can try free up cap space and offer 4yrs 100M for Draymond and maybe he then says yes.

  2. People are going to give us so much shit for this tweet calling this a big 3 lol.

  3. I mean, I guess the idea is the Warriors lose a critical piece (even if he’s old, he still works within their system), the Suns implode, the Clippers continue to stay unhealthy (likely), and the Nuggets may have an ‘off’ year.

  4. Please no. Do not sacrifice the young core for a washed Draymond Green.

  5. Would have to be a sign and trade and they’re the thinnest at center so probably Nurk + Nas + 2nd rounders

  6. I absolutely think Draymond would be great as a blazer- killer defense, a solid facilitator, and a high IQ vetern/sparkplug to get people heated. Honestly pretty much any team would benefit from having him

  7. Maybe I am just not in the know but why the hell would Sam Amick be the one breaking this so called news. If isn’t from Dame or Haynes I am not believing shit.

  8. Maybe Dame can break some rules, giving Drey money under the table, Dray signs with the MLE. Otherwise, I don’t see it.

  9. I’d do it. Draymond fulfills a positional need for us. He can still guard all 5 positions. He’s far past his prime, but I wouldn’t mind overpaying for Draymond to keep Dame happy and in Portland.

  10. Would be the most competitive forward combo we have had since LA and Batum

  11. If we sign Dray, I can keep yelling “TWIST HIS DICK” without people looking confused.

  12. If there was ever a time for Draymond to leave GS it’s now. But it’s likely he’ll resign

  13. We don’t have the cap space. Would need to be a sign and trade which mean Nurk + Litltle or Ant goes out for him.

  14. Green IS the player who can take us to the next level. Am i a fan of him. Ewww. but i doubt we can get better. Fact.

  15. This is nearly impossible and would require us to either completely overhaul our roster to clear cap, or work with GSW on a trade (unlikely)

  16. Think Dame can convince Draymond to request a sign and trade? That’s the only way I see this working out.

  17. I’ve hated Draymond forever but I’d actually love him on this team. Bring the toughness and actual championship experience.

  18. Not sure how I feel about it, but if that’s what it takes to make him happy then he better be out there doing the recruiting!

  19. I’d love this. Been watching Draymond since he played for Michigan State. He can bring some much needed defense to the Blazers. Wouldn’t mind seeing Izzo at a game, too.

  20. See this is it.
This is the one if we can still get either PG or KAT.

Running it like either of these two

    Dame, George, Thybulle, Grant, Green

    Scoot, Sharpe, Winslow, Watford, Eubanks/Plumlee

    Or;

    Dame, Sharpe, Grant, Green, KAT

    Scoot, Thybulle, Winslow, Watford, ?

We need more moves than one big fish. We gotta bring up a wing and a centre while having some sort of bench

  21. There is only one ball. And i don’t see how the rookies will improve if they don’t get any touches when Draymond, Dame, and Grant will be taking turns to play.

I truly do not understand how this shit will work. If Dame is there as a lone vet, that is understandable but how is this scheme going to work?

  22. Draymond is gonna sign with us because of how impressed he was with Shae after getting dunked on last season

  23. Trade Simons for Derozan since Bulls need to rebuild with Lonzo done

Sign Draymond for 2-3 years MAX

    Re-sign Jerami

    Dame Derozan Jerami Draymond Nurk

Scoot Sharpe Nas Trendon + maybe sign a vet big

also move Billups to assistant for a REAL experienced coach that is respectable

  24. I don’t think this team is a contender but I do think it can be really good. A big part of why we were so bad last year was injuries. If everyone can stay healthy, adding green and may Binh trading simons for another forward could be enough.

  25. So here’s a few things I want to highlight real quick…

This is all per an article Sam Amick wrote for The Athletic. Now because of a paywall, I can’t see all of the article, but nothing I *can* see shows any indication of this being a quote from Dame or his management. It shows no signs of being a report or an interview, but rather like an op-ed.

Also worth noting that The Athletic are the same outlet that started the GP2 Toradol drama earlier this year. Take that for whatever it’s worth.
