And he’s an arguably elite pitcher
he’ll be baseball’s true and only goat when it’s all said and done
Have never and will never see a talent like this again
A pitcher leads the MLB in OPS, RBI and HR.
I’m glad we have so much documentation nowadays, because this is the shit that if it happened in the 1890s no one would believe actually happened
Not Batting Average? DFA IMMEDIATELY!
Overrated.
If you take out the homeruns, he’s like, only a 0.630 OPS player.
/s
When his contract comes up you have to pay what you’d pay a #1 hitter and #1 pitcher.
That’s truly something we will never see again in our lifetime. But man it would be something to see him in a World Series
He is two people.
Trying to please both the stat nerds and old heads
Yeah, but his ERA is over 3. Name one other dude with 20+ home runs and an era over 3. Bet you can’t!
Fuck Dodger Stadium. Would love to see where Judge would be at now.
Not in ERA and strikeouts, too? Release him. Clearly washed.
Decent player
crazy that there are people out there who still think Ruth is a better player
Okay but – batting average.
Gotta get that Triple Crown, bitches.
If pitcher shohei ohtani pitched against batter shohei ohtani who wins?
Ohtanis documentary 20 years from now is going to be nuts.
“Shohei Ohtani leads all of baseball” uhh DUH
How big do you think his contract is going to be? $500M? $600M? I imagine it will be the biggest contract in NA sports history.
Baseball god is walking among us. Praise be his name!
Please don’t go to the Dodgers.
He’s running away with the MVP this year, like he did in 2021
I hope he hits 61 HR, gets to the playoffs with the jenkyass Angels, signs on to a better team for 2024
That’s just the offensive side
I read this and all I can do is laugh. There are players across all sports who come in and are so dominant that they force the sport to evolve. But what Shohei is doing is just on another scale, it’s incredible
I think he’s hands down the most skilled athlete alive today. That good at hitting and pitching simultaneously goes way beyond freak. It’s just. Unique. Truly.
That said. Everyone needs to save that GOAT talk at risk of jinxing the longevity he needs to actually secure that title which I agree he’s skilled enough to do.
Is this the new age triple crown?
