  1. I’m glad we have so much documentation nowadays, because this is the shit that if it happened in the 1890s no one would believe actually happened

  2. When his contract comes up you have to pay what you’d pay a #1 hitter and #1 pitcher.

That’s truly something we will never see again in our lifetime. But man it would be something to see him in a World Series

  3. Yeah, but his ERA is over 3. Name one other dude with 20+ home runs and an era over 3. Bet you can’t!

  4. How big do you think his contract is going to be? $500M? $600M? I imagine it will be the biggest contract in NA sports history.

  5. I hope he hits 61 HR, gets to the playoffs with the jenkyass Angels, signs on to a better team for 2024

  6. I read this and all I can do is laugh. There are players across all sports who come in and are so dominant that they force the sport to evolve. But what Shohei is doing is just on another scale, it’s incredible

  7. I think he’s hands down the most skilled athlete alive today. That good at hitting and pitching simultaneously goes way beyond freak. It’s just. Unique. Truly.

That said. Everyone needs to save that GOAT talk at risk of jinxing the longevity he needs to actually secure that title which I agree he’s skilled enough to do.
