These guys we sign on one year deals to try and flip at the deadline literally NEVER work for us.

Regarding the business of baseball, this signing has gone predictably bad. I’ll never understand it.
To me the most bizarre thing is that Jose De Leon of the Twins did almost the exact same thing two games earlier against us. It was like the baseball gods decided to punish us for his injury.
Calling it now, we’ll sign him to a 1 year deal for the 2025 season.
As soon as I saw “elbow discomfort” last night I knew this was the outcome. Such a shame.
Yeah I kind of saw that coming….elbow injury leaves start after less than an inning was not a good sign. Another blow to the pitching staff but at least reinforcements have begun to arrive.
