  1. Credit where it’s due, Madden was right. Curious if they make Darche/another candidate GM now.

  2. Holy shit let’s go, can’t wait to live in a world where I have faith the front office will actually make the team better

  3. As a Leaf fan I’m excited for you guys, I’m also happy I get to follow 2 trade deadlines now because I still want to see his moves and regret everything about being a Leaf fan.

  4. How is he gonna change the team tho in the short term. I feel like Hextall fucked us with the Grunlund contract and many others

  5. Hot damn, I got alerted to this by a text from the penguins non the less lol Love it

  6. Best part is he can do no wrong !!! Since Burke set the standard for the position you have no tasks or responsibilities

  7. Seravelli’s report that they were circling back with other candidates sure makes a lot of sense now that we know Dubas is PoHO

  8. The speculation is over! FSG got their guy. Dude must have got a ton of money and the keys to the franchise for the next decade. Excited to see where we go from the end of the cores careers into a new era.

  9. Leafs fans are upset we announced this 30 minutes before Brad Treliving’s press conference as if we did it to spite them or something.

  10. I’m not reporting that dubas has taken the job. All I am saying is I am hearing many whispers that there is a good chance he has recently accepted the job

  11. As a president of hockey operations this is an incredible move. Can’t wait to see who he brings in as GM. This move could seriously save what’s left of the big threes remaining years in Pittsburgh. Incredible HOF captain, great coach, pretty decent top 6 and Letang is still top tier. Dubas imo is walking into an ideal situation.

  12. I don’t know if it was the build up over the last week but I just celebrated like I did when Kuni got the game 7 OT winner.

  13. I will miss the “friend of a friend of a friend” speculation posts.

    /s

  14. Ex-Leafs fan checking in.

Be good to Kyle. He’s a gem. Very excited to see what he does for the club.

  15. Kyle Dubas is a fantastic person – let alone hockey mind. Pens fans, you’re lucky AF

  16. Disappointed in Dubas so far. it’s been 45 minutes and no Granlund buyout yet. /s

  17. Are ya’ll accepting new members? I’ve been a Leafs fan since birth, but I don’t like where things are going over there, and I love me some Dubas.

    My Pens credentials:

    1. When the Leafs were bad in the mid 90’s and not worth watching, I cheered for the Pens and wore #68 on my minor hockey jersey
    2. Back when Sidney Crosby first joined the NHL, people used to tell me all the time I looked exactly like him. So much so that my grandmother became a Pens fan despite never watching hockey before. Of course, then he got older and stronger, and I got older and fatter, so nobody says that anymore.

    3. (edit) I also have a Crosby jersey

  18. This is so huge. Dubas is a brilliant hockey mind. Things didn’t work out in the playoffs Toronto but I feel that has so little to do with Dubas himself and everything to do with a real honest to goodness curse on the franchise. The regular season success is there in spades.

We have a core that knows how to win in the playoffs. The pens have a winning culture, and Dubas runs the kind of team the pens want to be.

I feel secure knowing Dubas will probably be in this role for a long time. Not only are the pens in good hands for the immediate future, but beyond the crosby era as well.

Last time we stole a key piece from the leafs it lead to back to back cups. Let’s do that again!

  19. I can’t wait to learn what the POHO actually does besides say, “we like the team.”

  20. Leafs fan, now a Pens fan. Pens were my main team since Crosby came. Was watching them during their cup runs. Once Toronto fixed their broken head office I went to being a Leafs fan with Pens being my second. Now knowing what Shanahan has been doing and the broken management system in Toronto, it’s no wonder we just stay the course of being sub-par in the playoffs.

With that being said I’m now a Pens fan first. I’m excited to see how Dubas runs the team having full autonomy. Go Pens go! Get a cup! I’m all in!
