Ive always thought they should do it like the masters. Captain from the previous Stanley cup champ gives it to the current champ.
The bettman speech has to be the most cringy part of the Stanley cup playoffs. If Shannon did it though he would bring out a dry erase board and go over key parts of the season and it would be quite informative.
