  1. Interesting lineup today. Yonny Hernandez, a defensive specialist, getting his first Dodger start. Struggling rookie Deluca getting a start in LF over Peralta, who continues to rest against lefties. Another struggling rookie in Vargas back in the lineup and batting 5th. Rojas starting again at short.

    Hopefully we can exceed our expected runs for today— with a little help from the altitude.

  4. Seems like Kershaw is fine but tbh I would probably just IL him since the All Star break is coming up. Just give him a break. We can make do without him next week against the Pirates, which is when his only start before the break would be.

  5. During last night’s game Eric Karros said he never made an All-Star game. I’d always assumed he made it several times.

    In 1999 his best year with the Dodgers, he hit .304 with 34 home runs and 112 RBI.

    He also had 30 home runs and 100 RBIs in five different seasons, only Duke Snider and Gil Hodges have done that for the Dodgers.

    I don’t remember the All-Star selection process during his years, but I wish he’d gotten into the game!
