Hopefully he doesn’t abandon ship when it’s over
I like it! Frig off Taffoli!
Not a bad price and a bridge deal to see what he can do. Good bit of business
Bad trade and dumb signing
Walks him straight into UFA, but obviously we have to wait and see. Not hating it, really excited to see what he’s about since I have very limited knowing of this guy.
What are wrong with these dam trolls who call themselves flames fans a 2 yr deal worth 3.1 m if he has a good season Its worth the money all day long if he has a bad season we dont have a long term so trade away they are taking a chance on a 25 yr old kid who has plenty of upside 6yrs younger then toffoli I see nothing but upside here
“Walks him to UFA”
If Conny is successful in attracting players who *want* to be here, this doesn’t matter.
He’s going to finish with 20-25 goals and 50-60 points.
Solid deal, if he meshes well you can bet they’ll be extending him next year and if he doesn’t or we trend towards actually attempting a rebuild after next year then he’d be easy to flip for more picks/ prospects
Don’t hate the deal but don’t love the initial trade. Would’ve liked to see a second for Toffoli
Really like it. If he fits in and is worth the upgrade, then we’ve got time. If not? We let him walk.
It is concerning to see his drop in production year over year, and a face off percent of 36.1 isn’t great. I knew Toffoli would bring less than what you might think from last season, but I am not sure I like this.
Still, we do get younger and maybe some new opportunities with the Flames will see him improve.
Not loving or hating the deal and definitely prefer it to signing another aging player to a longer term contract.
Like the trade, not a steal of a contract but not terrible.
Walks him to UFA but it’s a 2 year try-out for both sides.
Hopdfully he pops off and becomes really expensive.
Can’t wait to see his stick 🏒 in the air celly as a staple for years to come

On another note, [Zaddy, Andersson and Huberdeau (yes, the noted locker room cancer) have already reached out to him. Nice to make him feel welcome!](https://twitter.com/ryandittrick/status/1674083049980456960?t=5_tQ4_IICm7vscgH6svO-A&s=19)
I thought bridge deals where a thing if the past
