Is there anyone that ISN’T happy with their teams 1st Round Draft?

I kept hearing how deep this draft class was and almost every GM was grinning with their picks.

I’m not very happy with Tampa’s first round
Chris Rock no longer a Sharks fan.
I am not happy that Vancouver didn’t get the 1st pick 🙂
Very unhappy with the Panthers first round pick, lol
You should go on a the Habs sub. There are a lot of angry habs fans about the selection of David…………..ummmm

On the other hand, For the first time in 13 years flyers fans have something to smile about
Stramel at 21! A big 🤬moment for the MN Mild! I mean what looks like a 3rd line center at #21, yaaaay!
Majority of Canucks fans lol They wanted Benson, but complain about the team going after an organizational need. Last time we drafted and had a regular RHD was Kevin Bieksa. Im happy with Willander.
Basically picks 2-13 were a super shit show imo. Reinbacher at 5 was a pretty weird pick, then Simashev right after I was like what in tf.
Leafs picked a pretty meh-ish player at 28.
Dvorsky dropping to the Blues is a steal for them
Washington getting Leonard was a super steal.
Zach Benson at 13 is gonna be a super steal too.
Perrault to the rangers is a super steal.
I’m slightly disappointed with Detroit using both picks, but since apparently no one wanted to trade I can’t be too disappointed.

Not happy with the leafs taking a player ranked in the 2nd to 3rd round or later at 28. We should of traded down and acquired 2 later picks

Well the Devils didn’t have a pick so there’s that.
I don’t know about Bedard and Moore. Both were huge reaches.
Kinda surprised the Blues made all 3 picks and took 2 centers. Then a bit of a flyer on a D man late.

i’m pretty happy with the sabres pick. Benson has the tools to be a top 10 pick and most analysts had him projected at 7. also really cool we drafted his linemate Savoie in the first round last year. id say we made one of the better value picks in the draft.
Don’t think many Avs fans have an issue with who they picked. There’s definitely some frustration about using the picks and not trading them for more help given the cap situation and poor UFA crop

Seems like most Leafs fans. Our guy wasn’t projected to go until the 3rd round on most boards. Most people had him ranked somewhere between 60-100.
I’m happy with the Sharks first round Will Smith and Quentin Musty. All though most of the Sharks sub wanted MM. Wouldn’t of mattered who Grier drafted people would of found a way to complain.
Caps fans are definitely mad at Philly, we wanted michkov and we didn’t think he would make it past San Jose, everyone was freaking out when he made it to 7th because Philly wasn’t very likley to pick him…. I personally am happy with Leonard but everyone seems to be frustrated with our GM for not getting michkov which doesn’t make any sense
Stealing Moore at 19? Hell yeah sign me up!
Montreal fans are definitely fuming though. Reinbacker was not the right guy to pick at 5. Even if they wanted Reinbacker he was still gonna be there later when they could trade for a pick.

Need one of the Ducks fans to chime in here. I am still astonished that they took the 4th best player with the 2nd pick?
To anyone saying the Habs fucked up by picking Reinbacher… Don’t forget this kid his second all-time for points as a Dman in the swiss league, just after a guy named… Roman Josi. And he accomplished that at just 19 years of age. His defensive/transition game is also top notch.
Hugues and Gorton have been on a mission to build a very solid defense lineup and putting together an elite Dman/Goalie core is one of the hardest thing to do when managing a hockey team. This pick shows they’re sticking to their plan and i like that.
I personally like the pick, and will go as far as saying he could very well be our next Andreï Markov. I won’t be surprised at all if he develops to be a Josi/Markov/Seider type of player.
And nobody knows what will happen with Michkov, or predict how things will play out five years from now. But i’m confident Ghule and Reinbacher will be Habs for a long time.
