The #Canes have extended a qualifying offer to defenseman Dylan Coghlan. The team will not be offering QOs to Jesse Puljujarvi, Dominik Bokk, or Stelio Mattheos. Those three players will become unrestricted free agents.

1. Not exactly what I thought I’d hear. Coghlan had to have led the team in turnovers with the games he played

5. Eww. Don’t like this one. Unless we’re paying him in gift cards to the concessions stand, we probably paid too much

8. I’m going to say that Coghlan for sure has work to do on defense. But I really like his raw talent and I’m glad they’re keeping him. Sure disappointing on turnovers. But comparing him to our top 4 is almost unfair with how solid those 4 are

9. Depth move. Depending on deals he is likely 7th or 8th D man and is only used in case of injuries.
