  1. Love Herb but he’s objectively not a shooter. 2.3 attempts is also extremely low volume.

  2. lol, OP is acting like post all star beak is a majority of the season. Post all star break is 1/3 of the season. Herb spent 2/3rds of the season shooting under 30% from 3. That’s really bad, let’s not try to spin this.

  3. That’s promising but also doesn’t mean he is a shooter. And he doesn’t need to be. If he can start grabbing 10 boards a game that would be great.

  4. Love Herb, but this is a bad take. Super low volume and even worse when you look at every single season of his career in NBA and NCAA (spoiler: they’re all bad and the first half of this year was the worst). This is clearly an anomaly—not saying he can’t improve though.

  5. Ye ignore the fact that he was unguarded from 3 for 90% of the season, especially when Zion was playing

  6. He really needs to shoot it at 36% clip on good volume at the minimum. He’ll never have shooting gravity and will always be the one who teams leave unguarded.

  7. I want Herbs contract extension as much as anyone and I think he’s the 2nd most “untradeable” guy after Trey, but he still has work to do on his outside shot. If he even becomes a league average shooter over the course of a year on decent attempts he goes up another level.

  8. shhhh maybe that’s why they are trying to extend him on before he breaks out next year
