Are there any photos of Cary Grant at the 1964 World Series in Busch Stadium?

For those unaware, [Cary Grant was a huge movie star of the 30’s-60’s.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cary_Grant) I have an older relative who says that he sat next to him at the 1964 World Series, in Harry Caray’s seats. I believe his story, because it is very detailed (which I’d be willing to share if anyone is interested). It includes women leaping from the railing to get to Cary and being dragged off by bodyguards.

I’m wondering if there are any photos of this story and thus of my relative. I figure that Cary Grant must have had photos taken of him there (although I’m told that Grant came secretly and his presence wasn’t announced until the 7th inning), or at least that there are camera angles which show Grant and my relative. A cursory internet search turns up nothing except a photo of Grant at the 1967 World Series, which does not show my relative (it wouldn’t be the right angle anyway, according to his story). I’m told that the Cardinals won this game, which would mean that it was either game 1, or game 7 of the ‘64 series. There’s also the possibility that memories are wrong and it was game 4 of the 1967 series in which case Grant may have been seated behind the first base dugout.

Do any Cardinals fanatics or others have a photo? It would be so cool to have one of these stories get some flesh and blood to it.

  1. I found this recollection that Cary Grant was at the 1967 Series. Doesn’t mean your relative was wrong at all, and in fact it may suggest a relationship between Caray and Grant, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

    > But perhaps the most amazing memory was my standing-room ticket placed me directly behind the field-level box seats between home plate and first base, so I had an excellent view of the game — and of actor Cary Grant, who was seated several rows in front of me behind the first base dugout.

  2. Weird tangent, I vividly remember seeing Liz Taylor sitting with Augie Busch during the 85 NLCS at Dodger Stadium. Pretty sure she was wearing a Dodgers jacket and the announcers were talking about it. I just tried to find an image of it and came up short. Would love to find that somewhere

  3. Not helpful but Cary Grant is one the best actors of all time. His performance in Arsenic and Old Lace is one of the best performances I’ve ever seen on screen. He perfectly encapsulates Broadway in Motion Picture and is one of my favorite actors of all time. Jimmy Stewart in Harvey only barely beats out top 5 favorite acting performances of all time. I only say any of this it makes me so fucking proud that Cary Grant has been to birb games.
