  1. Maybe the real friendship was the doomers we met along the way. And fuck the UMP

  2. so if our projected everyday starters are
    1B: Urshela
    2B: Drury
    SS: Neto
    3rd: Rendon
    LF: Ward
    CF: Trout
    RF: Renfroe
    C: Ohoppe, Stassi
    DH: Ohtani

then we only have 3/9 of our everyday players left 33%, we suck bc we have not only the worst luck in the world, but the farm depth is so bad that we have to bring the likes of squid, fletcher, wallach as our backups. i’m sad bc i was feeling so good a few weeks ago now it’s gone downhill fast. there’s been a few games where suddenly they put up good bats in the 9th inning like today. if they can do that throughout the game i’ll feel better but for now i’m stressed lol

  3. So tired of all of this. Just constant injuries and the team giving up when facing any type of adversity. Team won’t sniff the playoffs until we rebuild with a younger core like the Orioles. Maybe then we’ll see the playoffs in a few years.

  4. I believe this is a new curse. The curse of Arte not doing the right thing and selling the team. This is a new level of injury ridiculousness..

  5. If we don’t get Adell every game until the all star break I’m taking a poop in Perry’s lunch

  6. All I can say is that hopefully our offense starts being cool again after today

  7. I’m not even angry any more, I’m choosing to enjoy the incompetence and hope to get some highlights from our youngsters for the rest of the season.

Get O’Hoppe and Neto back, keep playing Adell and Moniak, enjoy the growth of Detmers and Joyce. It’s all you can do to keep from being bitter.

Then just wish for new management next season.

  8. By far the worst game of the season for me, Padres and their stacked lineup beating our AAA team with the help of the umpire after Soto said they would give Ohtani trouble today lol

Fuck the Padres and their umpire

  9. I blame on Shohei. He shouldn’t come out at 6th knowing he is having a blister issue.

  10. Baseball gods have gone against us in this “Holy War” series. Umpire sucked today as well, fletch gets called out on a strike that was called a ball right the AB prior. Nice to see Adell make an immediate impact.

I wanted Ohtani to hit and pitch an inning in the All-Star game because its the All-Star game, but after this game, I’m fine if he just half-heartedly hits an inning and doesn’t pitch. (If he doesn’t play at all its fine too). He’s missed only 2 games this whole season and he’s clearly overworked. I don’t know whose idea it was for Ohtani to pitch today (and for him to continue pitching) if his velocity was down on all his pitches. That usually is a sign that something is wrong for a pitcher, especially because Ohtani had an issue with his fingers in the start prior.

  11. Man, Perry adds depth and somehow the injuries still pile on to screw the team.

I was questioning whether a week was really enough time for Shohei to get over a cracked nail, those things don’t fix themselves *that* fast. And the ump really didn’t help him at all, I’d be really interested to see this dude’s scorecard tomorrow because wtf was that

  12. The Angels are true slump busters. The Padres really needed this matchup!

  13. if the injury was still bothering Ohtani, the angels should have skipped his scheduled pitching today.

  14. Ward shouldnt be batting 2nd !! He has the longest leash on the team

  15. What is there to say about this team? Just Trout and Ohtani, no policy, no strategy, nothing. No foundation. No energy. They are uglier than the Athletics.

  16. What has Taylor Ward done this year to prove he deserves a top 2 spot in the lineup?

I get there’s a TON of bad bats in the lineup right now due to injury, and I get the argument for today, but after they get healthy I feel like Ward will still be hitting lead off, and it makes no sense to me

  17. I’m lobbying for us doomers to be re-labeled as realist at and non-doomers to be labeled as optimists because that’s all it is. And I’m tired of the negative connotation with bein a realist angles fan.

  18. Rendon, your skill in hitting own batted ball is excellent!👏

  19. Shohei’s fingers are apparently messed up with blisters and broken nails.

  20. I heard the sequel to The Pope’s Exorcist is going to be filmed in Anaheim, with the Angels franchise as the setting. Arte Moreno is making a cameo as “Satan” apparently.
