I copped some of Jelly Walker’s NIL merch that Barstool put out for him while he played for UAB. I live in Birmingham so I’m beyond hype for Jordan. He had a massive part in building the UAB program back to national relevancy and they got close to being ranked last season. Walker is going to be my next Jersey 100%, everyone needs to be rooting for this guy hard.
I’m from South Carolina and love the Gamecocks too, so having Chris Silva from the Gamecocks 2017 Final 4 run, and AJ Lawson who was also a standout for the program on our team. All my favorite college team players are assembling at the Mav’s Summer League Camp 😂
Edit before I forget: his nickname is Jelly because he’s part of the “Jelly Fam” group of basketball players that focus on learning finger roll layups, thus the “jelly” nickname. Isaiah Washington actually helped start the group, and they recruited Jelly as well as Jahvon Quinnerly from Alabama.
Seeing the years all these guys were born in
Braxton Key is the most interesting guy to me. Like, if we end up needing to fill out the roster with SL guys after a trade, a 6’8″ PF who’s solid on D and can handle the ball some would be nice. He was even shooting well in the G-League, which could make him a real player.
Hardy is going to play in one summer league game is my guess
Hopefully we will find a gem that will play onto the team.
I wanna actually see the McKinley Wright and Mike Miles battles in practice so bad
Key can be a real good defender
AJ Lawson. I still believe this guy has potential. Keep an eye on him
